How does it work?

mHBOT is a non-invasive therapy in which you breathe ambient air (or oxygen-enriched air) inside a pressurized chamber, typically at 1.3 to 1.5 ATA (atmospheres absolute). The pressure allows more oxygen to dissolve into your bloodstream, enhancing cellular oxygen delivery and healing processes.

How long is a typical sessoion?

Sessions usually last 30 to 90 minutes, depending on your goals and the protocol recommended. Frequency varies — anywhere from 2–5 sessions per week, depending on the therapeutic objective.

How many sessions do I need to see results?

The benefits of mHBOT are cumulative. For most basic wellness and fitness related goals, 2-3 sessions per week is over an 8 week period is recommended. For support of ongoing health issues the recommendation is an initial run of 40 sessions over an 8 week period at which point there would be an evaluation to determine frequency going forward.

Is it safe?

Yes. mHBOT at pressures of 1.5 ATA and less is considered safe for most individuals. It is non-invasive and well-tolerated, with minimal risk when guidelines are followed. A pre-screening helps rule out contraindications such as pneumothorax or uncontrolled hypertension and sinus infections.

What should I wear inside the chamber?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting cotton clothing. Avoid petroleum-based products and perfumes inside the chamber, and if you've worked out, please shower prior to your sesson.You may bring a book, headphones, or just relax during the session.

May I work out after a mHBOT a session?

Yes. Light to moderate exercise before an mHBOT session may increase circulation and oxygen utilization. Some clients report enhanced recovery and energy after sessions as well. However, wait 30–60 minutes post-session before engaging in intense activity to allow for oxygen normalization.
